Headed out from Yamato, via Yokohama, and took the Shinkansen to Kyoto. The trip was scenic, and quick. A little over 2 hours. We barely made the train, grabbing a quick bento at the station platform.
Hubby was sitting on the right side, hoping for a view of Mt. Fuji, but no dice. At least our hotel was easy to find this time, right across from the Kyoto train station. We even got a discount to go up the tower. Only 300¥ and K was free! Beautiful, clear day. You can see Kiyomizudera Temple in the distance.
Then we took some cheesy pictures.
Knocked another dish off of our "To eat" list. Okonomiyaki, at Machidaya under the train station. Another delicious meal. K had a fried noodle with tomato, potato, and cheese. It tasted like Mac and cheese. She loved it of course. (2nd photo, below)

Here s the view of our hotel from the train station.
Then we stumbled upon a light and water show.
Good night Kyoto!
